Dealer Notes

The 2005 Ford Five Hundred is a large family sedan, bigger, sturdier, and higher off the ground than the Taurus. Not surprisingly, a car this big needs plenty of power to get it moving. Our Ford Five Hundred has that power- you'll find a 3.0L V6 under the hood, clocked at 203hp and scoring 29mpg highway. Mated to a 6-Speed automatic, this Front Wheel Drive is going places! Five adults can sit comfortably in the 2005 Five Hundred, and its roomy trunk can hold suitcases, golf clubs, musical instruments...pretty much everything but the kitchen sink in its 21.2 cubic feet of cargo space. Our SE trim has lots to offer, such as an immaculate interior, plenty of power accessories, a premium audio system, airbags, ABS, and keyless entry. Talk about comfortable, safe, and secure! Yes, this beauty has plenty of experience, but there's plenty of life left here, too! Print this page and call us Now... We Know You Will Enjoy Your Test Drive Towards Ownership!

  • Nice Car

Once you get used to the 6 speed trans this car is verry pleasant to drive. It is geared for economy and once you drive it as intended it rewards you with smoothness and great mileage for its size. Think of it as an American Volvo a great value for the thinking person.
  • Tremendous vehicle in ice and snow

I have owned this vehicle for seven years and am still impressed when I drive this car. It has the CVT transmission and it handles better in ice and snow than any SUV I've owned previously. It has very positive control and steering and the engine has plenty of power for a family vehicle (203 hp). It takes a couple of weeks to get used to not hearing the gears shift but once you get used to that its great. It always finds just the right gear combination automatically, either going up or down hills. It cruises very comfortably on the highway and gets great milage. (18 city and up to 28 Hwy) the trunk is huge and shaped so it fits a tremendous amount of cargo. The rear seats fold down and so does the front passenger seat allowing long loads such as 2 x 4's without any trouble. The front seats are very comfortable and give good back support. The rear seating area is actually oversized giving rear seat passengers lots of leg room and ease in getting in and out, great for people of advanced age. I really wish they still made this model, I would buy another today.
  • I'm a Ford lover and this one is a jewel.

I bought this baby brand new and put 178,000 miles on it and will still drive it across country with no hesitation. This is not a high performance vehicle, but will eat up the highway at a good clip when you want it to; and with excellent gas milage in the range of 28 MPG. Average combined city-highway mileage is in the range of 23.5 MPG. I'm on my second set of tires (Yes, I said second). The Michelin brand tires were the OEM tires rated for 30,000 miles. My driving habits yielded 60,000 miles. I replaced them with Michelin 90,000 mile rated tires and have gotten 118,000 miles, so far, and they are still in excellent condition. I'm dying to get a new Taurus, but I haven't worn this car out yet. At this rate, I may get the 276,000 miles I got out of my 1990 Mark 7 Lincoln Continental. I gave it away to the Salvation Army to keep it in circulation because it was in such great shape. I bought it new also. Ford Products are the bomb!!!!
